Gareth HowellsGareth has two distinct roles, being the Deputy Director of Nursing at North Bristol NHS Trust and the Board Level Nurse for Birmingham South Central CCG.

After qualifying as a Registered Nurse in 1988, Gareth has held a variety of Senior clinical, and managerial posts, and spent three years as the Director of Nursing at NHS Direct Wales as well as 6 years managing two large Medicine, Elderly Care and Community Services Divisions.

In 2009, Gareth graduated with a Master of Arts in Healthcare Law and Ethics and holds a specialist interest in the legal and ethical aspects of care.

Stethoscopes were found to carry as many bacteria as the palms of doctors' hands, and only doctors' fingertips were 'dirtier'.
