Patient Safety in Mental Health

People with mental health problems are a particularly vulnerable group within the healthcare sector, facing potential risk related either to their own behaviour, the behaviour of other patients or as a direct result of their illness. This category seeks entries from organisations who have initiated projects specifically targeted at ensuring the safety of mental health service users.

Specific entry criteria

Entries will be judged against the following criteria:

  • Innovation - the quality and originality of the idea;
  • Results - the impact and outcomes of the initiative;
  • Sustainability - the long-lasting potential of the initiative;
  • Dissemination - how the learning from the initiative has been spread to other parts of the organisation and beyond.
