Effective use of data can give organisations a clear picture of patient safety issues and point to possible solutions. This category focuses on the use of data and information to drive improvements in patient safety. It could include examples of an innovative use of data either to identify or to improve a patient safety issue.

Specific entry criteria

Entries will be judges against the following criteria:

  • Innovation - the quality and originality of the idea;
  • Credibility - the robustness of the original data and the use made of it;
  • Results - the impact and outcomes of the project;
  • Dissemination of the learning from the initiative.
